The Collab Projekt’s On The Labels - Dirtybird Records
Dirtybird Records is the exception to the rule. For seven years now the San Francisco based label has been building a name for itself like few others, churning out some of the finest tech house, deep house, bass music, and genre defying jams in a market that still considers that style of music very much underground and foreign.
With signings from the UK, France, Germany, Poland and South Africa, label head Barclay Crenshaw, aka Claude VonStroke, has developed a unique sound that takes from all the international elements of the artists supported on the imprint.
The project is continually maturing as Dirtybird further defines itself and embarks on its latest endeavor: a 12 track compilation album that will be released across three EP volumes over the next few weeks. The first installment, Hatched (Part 1), opens the series with some tech house/deep bass gems from acclaimed Bristol native Eats Everything, up-and-comer A1 Bassline, and label chief VonStroke himself.
